We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Cancer Research UK has come a long way in helping people treat and come to terms with their diagnosis. Shockingly, around 1000 people in the UK are diagnosed with cancer every day. I decided to do the Three Peaks Challenge in memory of my Grandma who we lost suddenly after a short battle with oesophagus cancer at the beginning of 2022. As a group of mates, not just us four, we have all been affected by cancer and lost close loved ones so we are taking on this challenge in her memory, and all others loved and lost. They will all be at the forefront of our minds pushing us to the peaks!

In short, The 3 Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks in the UK starting in Scotland at Ben Nevis (1344m) then to the lake district for Scafell pike (978m) and finishing in Wales at Snowdon (1085m) all within 24 hours, including 11 hours of driving in between mountains. Which will be undertaken by my brother Sam.

We understand money is tight for people at the minute but any donation large or small really does mean the world and will make a difference. Massive thanks from all of us, Ed, Calum, Ryan & Harry.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
