Story
Jack Tavernor, Matt Eardley, Rich Wakelin and Jonny Brindley are set to complete four marathons in four countries on four consecutive days. The hardest 4x4x4xfar!
We shall be raising money for St Luke's Hospice which provides invaluable care for people from North Shropshire and South and Mid Cheshire who are suffering with terminal illnesses. The hospice is run in the main from charitable donations with only a small helping hand from the PCT. It costs approximately £5,600 each day to keep running and we aim to raise enough to keep it going for at least a day.
The first marathon will be in Wales on the 24th May and then we'll take the overnight ferry to Ireland for a further 26 miles before sailing back to Stranraer overnight for the penultimate leg in Scotland. For the final 26 miles on the 27th May we'll be starting from the Hospice in Winsford and ending in Norton in Hales.
Hospices generally, no matter which one, give fantastic support in desperate times. We have experienced St Luke's work first hand recently and have seen how important the good work it does is. Please be generous.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: St Luke's (Cheshire) Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
