Story

Let's Summarise

A great friend of mine has a two and a half-year-old niece, Beatriz, who has been diagnosed with Neuroblastoma; a rare high-risk form of Cancer, which thankfully is curable.

Who:

Beatriz is a shining star. A beautiful little girl with a loving family, who are doing anything and everything they can to make their little princess well again.

Beatriz’s dad (Tiago), Mum (Laura) and Older Sister (Clara) are being passionately supported by family and friends, as the process to treat her illness could extend as long 18 months. There is only one hospital in the world that leads the treatment needed, and that is thGreat Ormond Street Hospital Children's

Connect the dots:

I'm Oscar, and as many of you reading this already know, I hate running. If you don't know me, believe me, I hate running! Beers, burgers and cigarettes have transformed the young, modern pentathlon athlete I once was, to a semi-obese, middle-aged man, who takes an Uber instead of walking 4 blocks to get food.

Beatriz’s Uncle is my friend, and as many of you reading this will know, we are far from the motherland, so here I am, pledging to support a friend we may all know on many different levels:

  • A footballer (a really bad goalkeeper)
  • A club sponsor (pivotal to Middle Park Football Club’s growth)
  • A coach (hmmm....)
  • A friend
  • An Uncle (a really, really, great one)

Pledge:

So, let's raise 1000GBP for each of those levels (5) if you are a ‘Parker’, a friend or a person that has known James Farmer, please re-share, promote and donate.

And as an extra motivator, you will see me "Fatso McOscar" run a full marathon for my dear friend's niece.
