Story

Zizi45, a vibrant 10-year-old, discovered her love for DJing by watching her dad, Criztoz, spin 7-inch vinyl records—also known as 45s—at home and during live streams. Her fascination with music quickly turned into a shared passion as she began learning to DJ herself, enjoying the quality time spent with her dad. Now, with her own record decks and a growing collection of vinyl, she’s become a young DJ in her own right.

One day, Zizi had an idea: “What if we created a live stream show where kids DJ with 45s?” And so, 45 Kids was born. Zizi even designed the logo for the show, which debuted on 12 September 2020.

Since its launch, 45 Kids has hosted over ten shows featuring young DJs from around the world, including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the UK, and the USA. These talented kids spin 45s and have put on exciting themed specials for Christmas, Halloween, and even Zizi’s birthday.

The 45 Kids lineup has included Seb Beat Nerd, Violet, DJ Ohhh, DJ Heyboy & DJ Heygirl, The Sunday Getdown, Minimal P, Evie Wonder, Grand Martha Flash, Polly Phonics, TTT & Little Flower, Juicy Dark, Indy Mix, The Junior Loves, DJ Olive Dee, B Funk A DJ’s, Young Sadie, and Nileyn. Each child brings their unique style and personality to the decks, planning their sets, playing records, and chatting during live streams.

Beyond the music, 45 Kids has helped the young DJs build confidence, express themselves through their favorite tracks, and deepen their bond with their parents over a shared love of music.

Zizi45 and Criztoz even launched a talk show on 4 July 2021, where they interview some of the 45 Kids, discussing their experiences as DJs, what music means to them, and their favorite records. The show streams live on www.twitch.tv/fortyfiveday.

This isn’t Zizi’s first charitable endeavor. At just 5 years old, she raised over £400 and donated her hair to the Little Princess Trust. Now, inspired by her dad’s work to raise awareness for men’s mental health and funds for mental health charities, Zizi is turning her attention to helping other children.

She wants to raise money to give more kids the chance to express themselves through music—building confidence, creativity, and connection.
