Story
When sick children have to stay in hospital over night, they sometimes can't sleep very well because of worry or pain and there are no play staff and the play equipment will be locked away. A charity helps buy trolleys of toys that are available 24/7 and can be brought to a child's bedside when needed.
This charity is called Clowns in the Sky.
Clowns in the Sky was founded by the parents of a young girl named Jennifer who sadly died due to a brain tumour. In order to help other children and families in the same situation, Lynn and Richard Weston started the charity which raises money to buy toys for the children in hospital at night. They also support research and help families with financial needs relating to the illness. By donating to Clowns in the sky charity, you can make a sick child's life brighter today.
On their website they say, "We hope the little things we do, make the bigger things easier to cope with."
40th Greenwich Scout Troop will be sleeping out in cardboard boxes to raise money for our two charities of 2018: Clowns in the Sky and Myeloma UK.
