Story
In 2016 my wife Liz passed away. She was 48. Liz had struggled with depression for many years and eventually it got the better of her.
Mental health is a huge issue in England with one-in-six people experiencing a common mental health problem such as anxiety and depression in any given week.
It’s hugely important that we increase awareness of this problem
and of the organisations that exist to offer help.
With this in mind I am taking on a challenge of my own later
this year – a 40-mile ultra marathon – with the dual aim of honouring Liz’s memory and helping raise awareness – and some funds – for the Mind charity which does an incredible job supporting people who are effected by mental health.
Any support you can offer – be that through a donation to Mind –
or simply cheering us on as we complete the race would be much appreciated, and would help us in our bid to raise awareness of this issue.
The Warrington Way is a 40 mile Ultra Marathon organized by Lymm
Runners that takes place on 11th November.
