Thanks for visiting this page and considering donating towards this amazing cause.
There is no real ‘target’, I just want to raise AS MUCH as possible for this wonderful little girl.
Just a little about me that is relevant to this challenge... I’m Dan, I’m a Police Officer and I love cycling and the outdoors. So this this going to be a Ben Nevis ‘lockdown’ type challenge!
Ben Nevis is just under 400 miles away from me, and it is just under 4,500ft high. This height is equivalent to 400 flights of stairs at my Police Station.
So... Whilst I am raising funds and awareness, I am going to cycle a total over time of 400 miles. Then, on Sunday 2nd August 2020 I am going to run up 400 flights of stairs in my full Police Uniform, which is around 2 stone worth of kit!

This is all going to be for a wonderful little girl called Penny who if I’m honest, has completely melted my heart. I’m yet to have the pleasure of meeting her or her family due to the Corona Virus but since I have found out about her, I’ve been determined to help her and her family’s cause.
Please search ‘400 miles 400 floors‘ on Facebook and Instagram where I’ll update you all on how I’m getting on. I’m also on Twitter at @danhaughton22.
Please take the time to read their story below, and please give generously.
Thank you so much!
——————— Penny’s Story ——————
Imagine you have a beautiful baby girl and shes perfect in every way. Now imagine a time when she forgets how to say mummy and doesnt recognise who you are? 5 year old Penny Mills from Stafford has a rare genetic disease of childhood dementia, which sadly means she may not live beyond her teens. Sanfilippo Syndrome causes fatal brain damage and Penny will eventually forget how to speak, swallow and walk.
Regrettably, the disease has already started to take its toll with Pennys vocabulary seriously reduced from 150 to now, no words, her motor skills seriously reduced and forgetting how to complete simple tasks like playing and putting on socks.
Penny is a happy little girl and lights up the room with laughter. Her family are determined to make as many memories with her as they can and where better to do so than the magical Disney World. This family holiday will provide Pennys family with happy memories they can cherish forever whilst also providing a break from the routine of hospital appointments and everyday life.
This trip could not happen without the generosity and support of people such as yourselves.
Please give generously, as everyone deserves some pixie dust.
