Story

We've come this far with no target in mind, just tried to raise as much money as possible, but we got back from the trip yesterday and we've covered 2891.60 miles, doesn't a pound a mile sound good? Keep sharing the page, you never know, we might just do it.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hiya, and thanks for reading our story. On June 14th 2015 we will be setting off to ride to the 4 compass points of France, over 4,000 kilometres, hopefully in 1 week(ish). West first;

 http://www.brittanytourism.com/things-to-do/all-activities/phare-de-saint-mathieu
Then North ; http://www.bray-dunes.fr/_INFOS/venir/index.php
East next ; http://www.mairie-lauterbourg.fr/decouvrir/la-ville-et-son-patrimoine/population-et-geographie.html
Then South;   http://www.lamanere.fr/

Once we hit the southernmost point in the Pyrennes it's only a quick 1,000 or so kilometres back home. We being Andy Havill, Robert Patrick, Graham Austin, John Hayter and any other daft old codger we can talk into coming with us. (STOP PRESS - AS OF 07/04/2015 THE LATEST DAFT OLD CODGER TO JOIN US IS Bryan Davies). I know you're thinking "what's so hard about swanning around France on a motorbike", but please keep in mind the ages of men and machines. Apart from the fact that none of us can afford new bikes so will of necessity be riding old uns, don't forget we'll be struggling for luggage space once we've packed the blood pressure pills, the deep heat, the haemorrhoid cream, the support bandages, the gaviscon, the painkillers, and the philosan. At least we don't need to take up too much room with hair care products these days. We're aiming to raise money for BCRT in memory of the an incredible fella called Alex Read. Some of you reading this will already know all about Alex of course, but for those who don't, please take a little time to read this, but be warned, if it doesn't bring a tear to your eye you're a tougher cookie than me ;

I know it's a cliche, but "all donations gratefully received". Oh, and if everybody could post this on FB and ask all their friends to do the same,,,,,,,,,,,,, and all their friends friends,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and all their friends friends friends,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, well you get the idea.
