Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

THE CHALLENGE - A big supervised walk where we attempt to climb the three highest peaks in the Yorkshire Dales, Whernside 736m, Ingleborough 724m, and Pen-Y-Ghent 694m! The walk is approximately 23 miles in length with an elevation gain of over 1000m. Starting at Horton in Ribblesdale, the walk takes you on a superb circular of the hills. We aim to complete this challenging trip in 12 hours!! Our guides are from the company Lost Earth Treasures and are all first aid trained.

Myself (Steven) and friends Chris Ferriby, John Tomas and Jessa Puno will be trekking in memory of my daughter Poppy Grace, to raise money for SANDS - The Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity (Chesterfield Group) to help them continue the vital work they do supporting bereaved families like ourselves, providing training and practical support to healthcare professionals and carrying out research to help reduce the number of babies dying.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
