Story

I'm partaking in the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge on 31st of August to fundraise for the Rosemere Cancer Foundation in memory of Bilal 'Bill' Mulla.

The Rosemere Cancer Foundation provides world class cancer treatment, care, support, medical training and research in Lancashire and South Cumbria. Rosemere Cancer Foundation is currently raising funds to expand on Brachytherapy - a cutting-edge therapy which will enable Rosemere to continue providing the best possible service to those fighting cancer. Bilal 'Bill' Mulla

Bill sadly lost his long and hard-fought battle to overcome cancer on the 25th of May this year. Bill dedicated his life to the service of others as Inspector Mulla 1970 of the Lancashire Constabulary. Bill was a devoted and loving father to his daughter; Bill was respected and loved dearly across Preston's Muslim community known fondly as PC Mulla. My own memory of Bill holds him forever as a true gentleman - selfless with boundless kindness to all. I'm wholly grateful to Bill's family for the permission to fundraise in his memory.

I'll be sharing much more about my fundraiser via Instagram: follow my page @3peaksforbill to hear more of the stories around the fundraiser and keep track of the lead up to the big day! I'm deeply grateful for any and all support or donations.
