Story
Thank you for visiting our just giving page in aid of Pancreatic Cancer UK (PCUK).
In October our lovely Aunty Mary tragically died following a brave and dignified battle with pancreatic cancer.
Everyone who knew Mary delighted in her fun and upbeat outlook on life. She played such an important role in all of our lives and we want to honour her by raising money for this important cause.
Statistics show that over 45,000 people die every year from pancreatic cancer and 1 person dies every hour in the uk from the disease. Only 7% of sufferers manage to beat it; yet it still remains one of the less researched and funded cancers.
We wanted to do something as a family to raise money for PCUK and help fund research into new diagnostic and treatment options for this cruel disease.
We decided to take on the grueling Three Peaks Challenge in Summer 2020, trekking a total of 42km and 11,182 ft to the top of the tallest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales all within only 24 hours.
With very little experience between us, we're not entirely sure what we’re getting ourselves into, but it’s the least we can do to support the charity which is so close to our hearts.
We’re happy to take on the tough part of this challenge - all we ask is that you show your support by donating as much as you can and helping to spread the word of our upcoming adventure.
Thank you in advance for your kind generosity - wish us luck!!
