Story
** Date change due to Covid-19 **
It is now 10 years since we lost “Our Julie”. Her final days were spent surrounded by the
people she loved most in Kirkwood Hospice in the Rowan Room. The love and care Julie received from the team
at Kirkwood and the support for our family was nothing short of exemplary. It made those final days and precious moments
as peaceful and bearable as possible.
Kirkwood Hospice help to improve the lives of people with
incurable conditions. Whether at the Hospice, in the home or out in the
community, they make sure that those in their care have the opportunity to live
the best quality of life possible and are able to make the most of the time
they have left.
In memory of Julie and in recognition and thanks to the
support Kirkwood gave to us and continue to give to so many, a few of us are
going to walk The Yorkshire Three Peaks in
Julies memory and to raise funds for this amazing hospice. The
route is 24 miles (38.6km), and includes 1585m (5200ft) of ascent.
On Saturday 12th September, Phillip, Rosanna, Adam and Dale
are going to lead a group of family and cherished friends on this challenge. Ruby and the bump are in charge of tech and meal support!
With your help we are hoping to raise at least £2400 for the charity - £100 per mile walked!
Please give as much or as little as you can, every donation
big or small really is going to a magnificent local charity.
We are forever grateful to the wonderful men and women at
Kirkwood Hospice and hope the contribution we raise allows Kirkwood to continue
providing comfort and peace to others during those precious days.
