Story
Yemen is currently suffering the worst humanitarian crisis in the last 100 years with 24 million people in need of assistance. They are simultaneously battling an epidemic (Cholera), pandemic (Covid-19), famine and war all at the same time. Around 20 million don't know from where/if they will get another meal. Every 10 minutes, a child under the age of 5 dies of preventable causes. Half of all the health facilities are damaged or unable to function with 19 million people in need of healthcare.
We are family and friends taking part in the National 3 Peak Challenge once it is possible to do so. The National Three Peaks Challenge is an event in which participants attempt to climb the highest mountains of England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours. It is frequently used to raise money for charitable organisations. All donations will go towards helping those in Yemen.
The Prohet Mohammed (PBUH) said... "Give charity without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity" and "the belivers shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity" (Al-Tirmidhi)
We will keep you updated on when we are able to complete this challenge. Posting videos of our training and how we are preparing for this challenge. We will be pushing ourselves to the limit (currently couch potatoes) to help people who are facing crisis, war and displacement. Help us protect and save thousands of families from the devastating effects of natural disasters and conflict. We hope to raise a minimum of £1000.00.
It would mean a lot to have your support, so please follow our journey and donate as much or as little as you can. Thank you!
