Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Parents want the best for their children, they want them to be happy, grow up and have wonderful lives. Sometimes things happen that can have a big impact on any family.. It happened to us, Anna was 7 when she was diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer. We were given the devastating news that Anna had only 4 months to live unless she was given a bone marrow transplant. Anna was one of the lucky ones, she was matched to an unrelated donor who gave her a special gift, the gift of life, a second chance. We owe a lot to this stranger who has given our daughter this wonderful opportunity to live again.
Nicola's Fund is a small charity that Anna had the opportunity to be a part of. Nicola lost her fight for life 5 days before her 15th birthday, she had an incurrable brain tumour. Her parents wanted to keep her memory alive and decided they wanted to help other children like Nicola. They set up a charity to give children and their families res'pite and support for the families. Anna was one of the first to benefit from this charity by being given the oppotunity to go to Centre Parks with the family to spend quality time together. Today the charity still sends families to Centre Parks and other holiday resorts in the UK. They need more money....
