Story

This time last year the guy in these photo's, Andy Rowe, was fit and active, putting many younger people, myself included, to shame with his zest for life. A keen cycler, surfer and all round great guy, Andy should have had many more years ahead of him, going to Pop Festivals, Snowboarding, Motorcycling, Camper Van Holidays and general enjoyment of life.

Unfortunately, he then found a lump in his stomach which proved to be cancerous. In the months that followed, he deteriorated in health terms so rapidly, that he became the first person to whom I have been to both their Wedding and Funeral. This was in the space of 3 months.

The last few weeks of Andy’s life saw him spend a great deal of time at Hayward House, which is a Palliative Care Centre that helped our friend and his family during this horrendous time. In return, we would like we would like to help them raise money in order to assist with care for others who will at some point, unfortunately need their services.

In Andy’s memory, 10 of us are doing the 3 Peaks in 24 Hours Challenge to raise money for Hayward House on August 5th/6th this year. If you could see your way to sponsoring us, you will have our gratitude forever and a day.

Thanks for reading this.

Many thanks to Liza at No11Deli in Castle Donington http://www.no11deli.co.uk/ who has kindly offered to support us by providing sustinance for the trek!
