So three generations of Owens and my friend Neil - are taking this epic challenge. 2 of the 6 ought to know better as they have done it once before - but there you are!

We are spending 14 days cycling 1,100 miles and climbing (and descending) over 20,000 metres. We will be self-supported with panniers, and staying in Youth Hostels along the way.

The boys have elected for a charity supporting street children in Africa - and any donations would be most gratefully received. None of your donations will fund our trip or any part of it - it is simply motivating to know that through your support, our adventure goes some way to helping others who need it!

(And Robert hopes that since this is the closest thing to his form charity he can find - he will get some mileage as the form charity rep!)
