The 36th Hong Kong Scout Troop has links with the Gurkha's through past leaders who have served in Gurkha Regiments and also after our expedition to Annapurna Base Camp in 2016. We were deeply touched by the hospitality and the kindness of the people and promised to return. Although our expedition (after which we were to directly pass GWT our donations) to Mardi Himal Base Camp was cancelled due to COVID 19, we would still like to help in some other way. 

The Gurkha Welfare Trust is a charity that raises funds to support retired Gurkha's and their communities in Nepal. The Trust constructs schools, clean water sanitation facilities and medical aid stations (just to name a few) in rural villages to better the lives of many Nepalese.
