Story

Intense conflict in Ukraine is threatening the lives and livelihoods of people across the country, forcing millions to flee. Homes have been destroyed, hospitals have been targeted and essential services have been hit. Families have been separated, people have been injured and lives have been lost.

We (Josh, Skuce, Reub & Crilly) are embarking on a continental roadtrip this summer across Europe and the Middle East as part of the Mongol Rally, & have decided to raise funds for the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. Our vessel is a 1 litre, retired pizza delivery car (entrenched with the scent of a lifetime's-worth of cheese) kindly donated by 9th Avenue Pizzeria that will lug us from Omagh all the way to Tbilisi (and beyond/wherever we break down).

All donations go directly to the Disasters Emergency Committee* - costs including ferries, fuel, visas, car insurance,  food, accommodation, alcohol, repairs, fines, bribes and any other costs incurred along the way will be covered by us and our meagre student budgets. So please give generously in support of the people of Ukraine who's lives have been turned upside down & make our pilgrimage across the continent worth the smell. Check out our Instagram and Facebook pages (@30minutesorlesss) to find out more and follow us along the way!!

*DEC charities and their local partners are in Ukraine and across the border in the neighbouring countries. They are working to meet the immediate needs of all people fleeing with food, water, medical assistance, protection and trauma care.
