Over the next two months Claire, Clare and Mandy will be travelling from Lands End to John O'groats (virtually), a total of 1744km.  We will do this by walking, running, cycling, rowing, swimming or any exercise we can measure a distance for.

To complete the distance within our timescale we will need to 'travel' an average of 10km per day each, so moving up the country 30km per day in total (relay style).  With our current average distance per day being 4km each we have to up our game!

As well as being a great chance to up our fitness levels, we thought it would be a great opportunity to raise some money for a great charity and keep us motivated after after week 1! It has been hard to choose a charity as there are so many fantastic organisations doing amazing work. We decided we would like to support a local cause as we know it is hard for them to get funding.

When we found out about Sheffield Young Carers we knew that was the charity we wanted to support. There are over 7,300 young carers in Sheffield which means their service is in demand. They work with children and young adults aged 8-25 providing support through one-to-one work, group support, trips, holidays, support with education, employment and training.
