Story
Last year, for the Movember foundation, I ran 100kms. This year I am taking on a challenge of a different scale. I will be running a total of 300 Miles in November, equating to 10 Miles every day for 30 days.
Globally, every minute, a man dies by suicide. In United Kingdom, 75% of suicides are men.
The subject of mental health is one that is close to my heart. Not only have I known several men who have taken their life, but I have also struggled with my own mental health in the past. This is something that may come as a shock to those who know me, but that in itself highlights why this subject is so important. Men need to know they can turn to someone before they take the most drastic of steps.
Although I haven't dedicated much time to running since my last challenge 12 months ago, I have decided to dedicate another month to pounding the pavements, trails and hills to raise money and awareness for this topic that is close to my heart.
I will also be fitting my runs around work and my training/Coaching duties at Gracie Barra Gloucester, so it will be a busy month! I fully expect it to be hell, both physically and mentally, but that is the point! ;)
Your donation will go to the 'Movember Foundation', which is funding initiatives to help men around the world.
Whatever you can give to support me, and support them, is greatly appreciated.
