3 Peaks Cycle Challenge 2017
3 Peaks Cycle Challenge is raising money for The Royal British Legion
Story
We are a mixed ability group tackling the arduous 3 Peaks Challenge on cycle over a 5 day period. The team consists of 6 - 8 cyclists. Below are some facts and figures of the challenge.
Total elevation climbed: 3600m
Total distance climbed: 27 miles
Total elevation cycled: 5700m
Total distance cycled: 465 miles
Average cycle speed: 12mph
In May next year, a small group of us will be attempting to complete the well known 3 Peaks challenge, but we are doing it on bikes. We will trek up the 3 mountains and then cycle between them and attempt to complete the whole event in 5 days for charity. We are not cyclists, and are certainly not all spring chickens, but determined to complete this event for a good, just cause. Please support our event and help us reach the £5000 target we have proposed.
