2nd Stamford Town Scouts have an innovative and ambitious project to rebuild and improve their facilities in Stamford. The existing HQ is in a poor state of repair requiring ongoing maintenance; there is no disabled access; it is not large enough nor fit for purpose; and therefore is used mainly for scouting activities with little use by the wider community. We want to change this.

Our vision is to provide a flexible space in a modern, environmentally efficient design, “bringing the outside in” with plenty of space for indoor and outdoor activities. We want it to be used by other charities and community groups, providing a community hub for new groups to form and existing ones to grow.

The Scout Association is the UK's biggest mixed youth organisation with nearly 620,000 members. We change lives by offering young people fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure and the chance to help others so that we make a positive impact in communities.

Here at 2nd Stamford Scouts, we provide Scouting to young people in and around the Stamford area of Lincolnshire. We are raising funds to build a new multi purpose Scout HQ at our Empingham Road site. This is a great project for Stamford, an exciting adventure for Scouting and a legacy for future generations.
