This event is raising money for the Royal Marines charity and the Royal British Legion all off line donations will go towards the Royal British Legion, and online donations will go to the Royal Marines Charity.
At 11am on the 11th November, a team of staff here at David Lloyd Westbury will start running on a treadmill and will continue the run for the 24 hours between the 2 minutes silence on the 11th November (armistice day) through till the 2 minutes silence on the 12th November (Remembrance Sunday).
This run is to raise awareness and money for injured Veterans and their families that are struggling to get back to normal life after life changing injuries to their bodies or minds.
David Lloyd Westbury have welcomed myself and Jay spencer another former Royal Marine into the team here and have shown us a lot of understanding and support in the transition from military life to civilian, this event shows how they are continuing to support us by running with us to keep the treadmill going all the way through the night.
Jay and myself know that we are part of the lucky ones, lucky to be here and lucky to have support if needed, many others aren’t so lucky.
Please join us in remembering everyone that didn't come home and donate to help the families left behind.
