Story
On June 29th, 2 of the 3 Cheeseman siblings (Lucy and Chris) are walking 100km non-stop from Bath to Cheltenham along the Cotswold Way to raise money for Anthony Nolan. It’s cliche to say it is a cause that is close to our hearts but it’s true - Anthony Nolan is a charity which runs the register of potential stem cell donors for transplants. Thanks to them our Mum was able to have a donor stem cell transplant which gave us more precious time with her.
So, in return for anything you can donate, we promise to walk 100km as fast as we can without straying into actual running. Will we run out of politics to debate before the 100km are up? Will Chris manage to rein in his catchphrases (‘Poor Chris’, ‘Baauuuw’)? Will Lucy still be sane after 24 hours of constant Chris-isms? Will we ever look at a footpath in the same way again? All these questions and more to be answered early in the morning of June 30th...
If you are able to donate to Anthony Nolan through this page, we would so appreciate it. If you’re not able to donate money, though, it would be brilliant if you would consider signing up to the bone marrow register - here: https://www.anthonynolan.org/8-ways-you-could-save-life/donate-your-stem-cells. It’s as easy as spitting in a cup which they send you in the post, and you could be contacted to be the person who gets to give someone else more life.
Thank you for taking a look at this, for donating money/spit/both, and wish us luck (we’re really going to need it!!).

Every day, Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with a blood cancer or blood disorder. We do this by matching incredible individuals willing to donate their stem cells to people who desperately need a lifesaving transplant. We also carry out cutting edge scientific research, fund specialist post-transplant nurses and support patients and their families through the transplant process and beyond. We won’t stop until we save the lives of everyone who needs a stem cell transplant. Every penny you donate brings us closer to that day.
