Story
I am raising money for Young Lives vs Cancer in memory of my late husband Miles Lloyd. Young Lives vs Cancer is there for young cancer patients and their families from the point of diagnosis, throughout treatment and beyond. They provide practical, emotional and financial support and fight tirelessly for them so they can focus on the important things.
Miles was diagnosed with aggressive Lymphoma in March 2019. He fought as hard as he could but ultimately the cancer was just too strong. During this time Young Lives vs Cancer we’re extremely supportive, helping us to find essential finance support and offering places to go where Miles could meet people in similar situations. Miles was only 24 when he found out that he had cancer and died at the young age of 26.
Miles was a keen mountain biker and loved being outdoors so a team of his closest family and friends, including myself, will be riding 26 miles on Mountain Biking trails - one mile for every year of his life.
Your support can help so many people in many different ways. For example: £100 could pay for a family to receive a Young Lives vs Cancer grant (like me and Miles did) which helps cover the immediate costs that a cancer diagnosis brings, such as travel and parking. £200 could pay for the bereavement support of a young cancer patient and their family (which is so essential in order to even begin to recover after such a painful loss)
Please give anything you can - no amount is too small.
Thank you ❤️
