I will be running the London Marathon in April 2009.  I am not a seasoned long distance runner so this is a huge challenge for me, made even more so by the need to train during the cold, dark winter months.  So it would really spur me on if you could sponsor me.

I am raising money for Deafblind UK who do some invaluable work for people with combined sight and hearing loss.  I have met some truly inspiring deafblind people in my time who lead independent lives and am raising money to help others facing a similar predicament.

Perhaps you could take a moment to imagine what your life would be like if you lost both your sight and hearing.  Now perhaps you could help me to raise as much money as possible.  I will appreciate any amount that you can donate.
