Story
As many of you will know, my older brother Niall, aged only 18, tragically passed away on 7th May last year. With the anniversary of his death approaching, my family and our school wish to raise money for the charity Once Upon A Smile.
Once Upon a Smile is a children's bereavement charity and the only charity in the UK that provides support to bereaved families following the death of a parent or child. The charity receives no government funding and they solely rely on the generous donations of their supporters to help bereaved families such as mine at their time of need.
Once Upon A Smile have been extremely supportive in more ways than one, and continue to do so, assuring us that they always support us for as long as we need. This is why we have decided for the anniversary of Niall's first 12 months in heaven, we would like to be able to give something back.
Myself and a team of staff and students from St Mary's Catholic High School, are to take part in a 24 hour treadmill run in Niall's memory. This event will begin at lunchtime on Thursday 10th May and will continue through the night and finish at lunchtime on Friday 11th May.
Thank you for reading my page and any donations or promotion will be appreciated.
