Story

Myself and six of my fellow service members will be taking part in a 24 Hero workout challenge over a 24 hour period from Monday 5th November, 12:00 – Tuesday  6th November, 12:00. This is a charity event to raise money for the Poppy Appeal and The British Legion as part of Remembrance Day coming up on Sunday 11th November 2018 Each hero workout is dedicated to a fallen service member of The British Army, that has fallen in combat whilst serving our country. These are true heros and we plan to honour their memory  by doing 1 different hero workout, on the hour of every hour, for 24 hours.

What is a hero workout?

A Hero WOD (workout of the day) is a tribute to a fallen first responder or member of the military who has died in the line of duty. From CrossFit: “Military, law enforcement and first responder communities were among the amongst the earliest proponents of CrossFit. Their intensity matched with the fitness CrossFit provides is a match made in heaven. When a service member dies in the line of duty, a CrossFit hero workout is created in their name. Hero WODs are an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices of the fallen – to speak their names and honor their memories.

Any donations would be so greatly appreciated.
