"The Big Ride" is a charity cycle ride from Lands End to John O Groats in early September 2009. The Team for the cycle ride will consist of 5 cyclists (4 from 208), all of which will complete 100 miles each day over a ten day period.

The aim of the event is to raise £10000 pounds for charity.

The chosen charities for the event are Help for Heroes which was formed in 2007 and raises money for injured soldiers. The second is Broughton House which is based in the North West and caters for Ex Servicemen in need of care. Link www.broughtonhouse.com
