Story
I am raising funds to support my work with Bridge of Life in November. I'll be traveling to Jamaica with a team of 8 volunteers to to assist and improve the lives of more than 700 people in Kingston to slow the progression of chronic disease through preventive education and free health screenings.
I believe having access to health care is a right for everyone. An estimated 300,000 Jamaicans, or about 12 percent of the population, suffer from chronic kidney disease (CKD) with many more not knowing that they have the illness. Additionally, diabetes, stroke and hypertension are leading causes of premature death.
Please join me and our volunteer team as we fight to slow the progression of chronic disease.
Bridge of Life's vision is a world where all human beings have access to quality healthcare. Your gift will make that a reality for hundreds of people in Jamaica and helps make our work possible!
