Story
What's POVERTY? 10 % of the global population live on less than $1.90 a day. More than 820 million people in the world suffer from chronic hunger. It’s a major contributing factor in premature death. Looking beyond the economic poverty, poverty is more complex and also relates to health, education and access to resources.
Poverty is the result of a social and structural legacy of broken relationships with God, a distorted understanding of self, unjust relationships between people, and exploitative relationships with the environment. These fractures are made worse by the Covid-19-pandemic, conflicts and natural disasters, many of which also have roots in the broken relationships between God, humanity and wider creation.
Your decisions and choices today can so easily condone, even shore up these systems.
