I am Simon Reid from Dan-y-Coed Lodge No. 8127 in Caerphilly. I am a Past Master and Charity Steward of the Lodge. 

I am running a full Marathon on 29th August 2021 as part of the Festival Big Week.

I will be running from Caerphilly Masonic Hall to Cardiff Masonic Hall and back to Caerphilly in a loop of 26 miles. If you wish to follow my progress, I will heading from Caerphilly down to the Taff Trail, past Cardiff Castle and across to Guildford Crescent, then up to Roath Park and over the very steep Caerphilly Mountain back to the start point.

I appreciate the pandemic which currently prevails is causing difficulties for all of us in one way or another, that said the difficulties of our care homes have been immense.

However, the staff who are committed to caring, cannot do much about the financial situation facing the RMBI but between us all we can make a difference and I would ask you to kindly consider supporting  my Marathon run, for the benefit of Freemasons and their dependents.
