My name is Gary.

This time last month I wasn’t planning on running a marathon in 5 five weeks time, but the opportunity to take part in this years race presented itself, so I went for it.

Then the reality of the task sunk in :) 

This will be my first marathon, I’m not in any condition to run it all but I’m focused on completing it, even if I have to run, walk and crawl the distance :)

Am I slightly crazy? Yes but I’m doing this because I want to know I’ve achieved something positive in what’s been a weird year.

I’ve setup this fundraising page, for St Peters Life-Line, a grassroots charity that supports a community in Kenya.  Part of their work is funding an orphanage and sponsoring the education of the children who wouldn’t normally be able to afford to go.

Specifically I’m raising money to sponsor a young lady called Purity through her first year at Kenya Medical Training College as she wants to become a Community Health Nurse.

I appreciate times are hard, so if you can donate, anything would be appreciated.
