Story

This is a once in a life time offer - you get to do bad (to me) and do good (for the Princes Trust) all at the same time.

So just asking you to fund a 90 mile ride was never really going to get your hard earned cash - bit too much like sponsoring a commuter to go to work and add in an additional tube stop... for those that know me time on a bike is business as usual - so how to do something you might be more interested in?

The offer is very simple: for every £ you sponsor me, you get one vote as to how I will need to complete the 90 mile round trip from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Palace and back on the 6th October 2019.  On Saturday 5th October I'll add up all the £/votes and that will be how I'll ride the next day.

I've even got some suggestions for you:

I have to ride the full course in less than 4.5 hours - doable but very very tough.

I ride dressed as Lance Armstrong (see main picture for details) - probably the most disliked character in road cycling, guaranteed to get me a lot of abuse...

I ride as Lance Armstrong on my Brompton - even more abuse

I ride as Lance Armstrong on my fixed gear bike - abuse as above but just last much much longer - probably around 9 hours the full trip

Or someone has even suggested on a kids trike - like the Danny Torrance in The Shining; remember the corridor scene.

So dig deep and get sponsoring, you pay your money and get to make your choices, I then get to suffer the consequences - the world remains in balance, harmony restored.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post - if this was a more multi-media ad we would now fade to the sound of Culture Club's 'do you really want to hurt me'.......................... I think I know the answer to that one.  Doing Bad never felt so Good.
