Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

I (Chris) wanted a challenge for 2017 and made the mistake of mentioning it to Kirsty. Before I had time to draw breath, finish my beer and move on the maps were out and a rough route was planned.

Exact routes are now more or less set and the journey will be around 260km over 3 days of pedaling with around 5,500m of vertical climb ... which is nice.

30/09/2017 to 02/10/2017

Day 1 - Les Gets to Albertville - 115 kms (1,500m vertical)

Day 2 - Albertville to Moutiers via Reberty - 85 kms (2,200m vertical)

Day 3 - Moutiers to Moutiers via La Plagne - 60 kms (1,800m vertical)

We think this ride will be a great achievement and hope that the hard work required to do it without bursting blood vessels or lungs can benefit others. The Flying Seagull Project is a fabulous charity doing great work to bring play and a few hours of fun to children living in grim circumstances. I hope you will feel able to support us and, more importantly, them.

About the charity

We believe that it is everyone’s right to put aside the cares of life and smile for a while. We work with marginalised groups to bring smiles and laughter, whether as Clown Doctors for children undergoing difficult medical treatments or through arts, music and crafts workshops and shows.
