Welcome to the JustGiving Page for ScottishPower's 6 new Energy Retail Graduates for 2016. We are Emma, Laura, Katie, Fraser, Brodie and Iain and we greatly appreciate you taking the time to visit our page. Emma & Iain are our Graduate Data Scientists and Laura & Brodie are our Digital Graduates all based at ScottishPower HQ. Fraser & Katie are our Business Graduates and are currently based at Aspect House.

Last year, the Graduates for 2015/16 raised a whopping £13,453.54 for Cancer Research UK which was a massive achievement and an unbelievable amount, but this year we are looking to smash that target with your help and raise £14,000!

Cancer Research UK do amazing work, carrying out world-class research to beat cancer, so we are extremely proud to be supporting such an important cause. Research into Cancer is ongoing, and is progressing, as more people are now beating cancer than ever before. However, 1 in 2 people will develop some form of cancer in their lifetime so we are raising money for Cancer Research UK to ensure that they can continue to find new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. With your help, we can make an impact and contribute to this great research.

In 2012, ScottishPower partnered with Cancer Research UK with the aim of raising vital funds to help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. After two years ScottishPower had smashed their £5million fundraising goal and now, having extended the partnership, have reached a phenomenal £15million milestone in just FIVE years. As the new Graduates we are so proud to be part of this amazing partnership! 

Over the next year we will be planning numerous events to help us reach our target of £14,000. We will keep you up to date with all our fundraising efforts through stories and pictures. We greatly appreciate any donation made to this cause to help us reach our target

- £14,000 could kit out 14 PhD students,

- £14,000 could buy at least 2 genetic photocopiers,

-£14,000 could buy over 46 sets of antibodies used to shed light on new ways to beat cancer,

- £14,000 could buy over 5 blood sampling kits to analyse tumour cells,

-£14,000 could buy a deep freeze freezer to keep some of the rare and delicate, precious tissue samples safely stored for vital cancer research experiments

These facts put into perspective just how important raising this money is. We are so proud to be undertaking this journey in fundraising!
