Story
FROM BRONZE TO BATTLING CANCER.
A few weeks after winning Bronze at the Tokyo Paralympic Games, Stu Wood was diagnosed with Stage 3b Hodgkin Lymphoma. Faced with a chemotherapy treatment plan he showed the same grit and determination that had won him that bronze medal. Now after a winter battling cancer the paracanoe program want to celebrate with Stu as he enters remission, welcome him back to training, while raising some awareness and money for Lymphoma Action.
Around 2,100 people are diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma each year in the UK – more than five a day. Lymphoma Action provided Stu and his family with information and support through his treatment.
