Story
Every 10 seconds, Samaritans respond to a call for help.
That's people like you and people like me, phoning Samaritans when they desperately need to talk to someone, but don't know who else to turn to.
I have phoned Samaritans once in my life. My eyes are welling up with tears just thinking about it...
The support I received from Samaritans in my darkest hour was exceptional. At the time, I didn't feel able to talk to my family, my friends, my doctor, or anyone else. And then I remembered Samaritans.
Now, many years later, I am helping Samaritans to continue providing this life-changing - and at times, life-saving - service.
I am aiming to raise over £1,000 for this incredible charity.
I am doing this by cycling 200 miles in 1 day... up and down 4,600 metres of mountains ... and it's going to be tough. Leaving around 5am in the dark, I hope to have completed this challenge by 10pm... in the dark. This all happens on Friday 21st April 2023.
I have trained hard for this. Since 1st January I have cycled around 1,500 miles - that's 100 miles a week - so to be as prepared as I can be.
Please support me with your donation - however large or small - so that Samaritans can continue their incredible work to help people like you and people like me.
