Story

Sometimes in life, often late at night in the dark corner of a pub (in Oxford in this case), an idea is born that you think sounds fantastic, but you're not sure if it's actually feasible once sober up. This is one of those ideas, and we're not sure if we've actually sobered up yet. So we're four chaps of a certain age that are attempting to set what we believe to be a new record for visiting as many countries as possible in a 24 hour period. We leave Maastricht in Holland at 3pm on 12th October, and 2768 kms, 18 countries and 24 hours later, we arrive in a small market town in south east Poland. Simple.

When we started planning this, we initially thought it would just be a bit of a road trip to wile away a long weekend, and have a bit of fun. As the plans developed, and we told more of our friends and family what we were doing, one or two of those that didn't laugh at us or question our sanity asked if we were raising money for anything. We've decided to use this as an opportunity to raise money for the Beating Bowel Cancer charity, who provided fantastic support to a lovely girl called Hannah Berry, before she passed away in April this year.
