Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Lewis was born in 2002 and was diagnosed with West Syndrome at 3 months old. This has since developed into a condition called Lennox Gastaut Syndrome (LGS). LGS is an extremely rare and severe form of epilepsy for which there is no cure. Lewis can have hundreds of different seizures per day and relies completely on his mum and dad for for 24 hour a day care.
I first met Lewis's dad Gary when we were young Northamptonshire cricketers in the late 1980's and despite Gary having whacked me around the county for much of the following 30 odd years, we have remained good friends! I have huge admiration for both him and Lexi as they continue to do everything they can to give Lewis the best care possible.
This is a cause very close to my heart. As Lewis approaches his 18th birthday, he is in desperate need of new equipment at home as his parents and family continue to care for him. I hope you'll support me as I attempt to cycle to 18 cricket grounds across Northants and Bucks in 18 days for a very special young man and family.
I know it's a tough time for everyone but if you can give even a small donation it would be hugely appreciated.
Thank-you!
