Story

Hello,

I would like to take a minute to introduce ourselves. We are a group of young boys within the city who are currently taking part on a course at Dundee FC in the Community Trust.

Charity number, SC047946

This programme is called the 1893 Education programme. This programme takes place in Dens park and is 15 weeks long. Over these 15 weeks we will be enhancing our CV, employment, life and Interview skills alongwith enhancing our personal development.

Help us young Dundee boys hit our target of £3000! This money will be used to pay for multiple qualifications through the SFA that will help us in future endevours.

We will be completing a sponsored walk from Gayfield to Dens park to try and kickstart our fundraising. This will take place on Friday the 12th of November.

We will also be doing fundraisers for 3 Dundee FC players signed match worn shirts, the players shirts we have available are Charlie Adam, Jason Cummings and Leigh Griffiths.
Jason Cummings shirt will be raffled off in the hospitality lounges of Dens Park for £5 a ticket. Charlie Adam and Leigh Griffiths shirts will be getting done through silent auctions. The silent auction will be held online via Direct messages through Facebook, Instagram and Twitter as well as in person in the lounges of Dens Park over two match days. The person who is willing to donate the most money will be notified and instructed to donate their generous donation to our just giving page. Which will then allow them to collect their prize.

Quotes from participants:

"The main reasons on why i joined the 1893 education programme: i joined this programme as school was not for me, and within this programme I will gain work and employability skills. These would be crucial to my future after school. This programme offers young adults the opportunity to help get yourself known to more people and show my creativity and commitment which i could not offer to others in school."

"I joined this programe because i seen it as a good opportunity as i wasnt enjoying school. I've had a good time at the trust all the workshops have been helpfull and enjoyable."

"I am here because i seen the programme as an opportunity to do something more enjoyable and beneficial for myself to further my skills and my education. It allows me to express my creativity and my ideas to the group."
