Story
16 golf fanatics/idiots who are taking on the marathon challenge of 4 rounds of golf in one day in aid of Robin House which is a fantastic childrens charity and a part of CHAS (Children's Hospices Across Scotland). https://www.chas.org.uk/
I say a marathon challenge as it is just that. A round of golf at the fabulous Carrick on Loch Lomond Golf Course is 6.5 miles which gives 26 miles for the day. (maybe longer if you are having a bad round)
We will be setting off at 5.30am while most who are reading this are tucked up in bed having sweet dreams, and finishing (hopefully) at approximately 11.00pm
Now this may sound like a bit of a jolly but you can be rest assured that this is tough and all 16 participants will be feeling the pain at the end of it and for a few days after.
All we ask is that you put your hand in your pocket and give what you can. Whether a couple of quid or if you are lucky enough to be in the position to give a little more please do.
The folks on the journey are:
John Gunn, Alan Granger, Billy McFadyen, Connor Taylor, Richard Chang, David Burris, Gareth Burris, George Brown, Jackie Beasley, Jane Scott, Mark Taylor, Mick Gray, Paddy Maple, Scott Barlass, Stephen Mclafferty and Tony Speirs.
Thanks you in advance and hopefully we will all see you on the other side of the 20th of June
Special thanks to SKW Joinery in Helensburgh for sponsoring and supplying our polo shirts for the day.
