Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Ruth Charles and Daniel (Danny) Huff make up the South East England Team for the Fishermen's Mission. As 2021 is the 140th Anniversary for the charity, we have been challenged with coming up with our own fundraising goal of £1400. Fishing is the UK's toughest and most dangerous occupation and the Fishermen's Mission is there to provide welfare and support to Fishermen and their families.
As fishing is so tough, we wanted our 140km challenge to test each of us too.
Ruth will be running 140km in 30 days, ending with the Great South Run on Sunday 17th October 2021. Ruth plans to run 5km in as many of the harbours she visit between 18th September - 17th October so do keep your eyes out for her! There will be regular updates of her progress on this JustGiving page as well as via the South East England FishMish Facebook page.
Danny will be walking the South Downs way in it's entirety which comes to just over 140km. He will be doing this over 5 days from 25th - 29th October 2021. There will be regular updates of his progress on this JustGiving page as well as via the South East England FishMish Facebook page.
Any donation to help keep us going on our 140km challenge will be gratefully received and please do follow us on our journey.
