Story
Child Action Northwest (CANW) has been in existence for over 130 years, founded as Blackburn Orphanage in 1891! It has supported and changed the lives of children through two world wars, and more recently a global pandemic. The head office is no longer used as an orphanage, however many of the issues that caused children to be placed there, sadly still exist today. This is why CANW continues to evolve to meet the needs of the children, young people, families and communities across the North of England. As a Director of CANW, I am extremely proud of our services, designed to support disadvantaged children and young people and I passionately believe that every child has the right to achieve their full potential whatever their full potential whatever their background or circumstances. COVID-19 has presented us with many challenges and this is where I need your support and why I am appealing to you now. Give a future, change a life and donate now. Please. Just a pound or two can really make all the difference to a child or young person who, through circumstances most of us have been lucky to avoid, have had their childhood taken away. Please, please help, I will be so grateful. Thank you so much.
