As you may know, I turn 40 this year! I have decided to embrace this and do something constructive for my mid life crisis. Especially as I am fit and well thanks to receiving 2 life-saving kidney transplant the most recent 11 years ago. Read more about my story here (link to follow).
As a few of you may be aware, I have a condition called Alports Syndrome. Alports syndrome is a genetic condition which causes hearing, eye and kidney problems. You can find out more about Alports Syndrome here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1H8Xc6DRmbs
So, back to my mid - life crisis. I am going to be taking part in 12
fundraising events this year (1 per month) to raise money for Kidney Research, specifically Action For Alports, which is looking for a cure for Alports. At the same time, I am aiming to raise awareness for the NHS Organ Donor Register https://www.organdonation.nhs.uk/
My event schedule is as follows and I will be updating my page throughout the year with progress towards my target of £5000:
I would be grateful if you would consider donating either for an individual event that you think is challenging or for the whole thing. Any amount will help. I will be sending an update out to let you
know how each event went.
