Story
I've decided to take on 12 monthly sponsored challenges.
These challenges will be just that, challenging, especially for me, an IT worker spending most of my day sat on my backside, doing little.
As I'm taking on 12 separate sponsored challenges, I'm suggesting a £2 donation (as you can't donate £1 through the site itself) to each challenge you think is worthy of your cash. If you like the idea of the whole challenge, my suggestion would be £10. Of course, more is always welcome.
Please don’t feel that a £2 donation will not help. I’m hoping over a 12 month period, these donations will add up pretty quickly. Some people may feel embarrassed donating ‘only’ £2 but this is what I’ve asked for and £2 is much better than £0. You can always donate anonymously if it’s an issue. Again, the £2 and £10 donation suggestions are just that – please donate what you can and what you feel is fair.
You can even donate £1 via text by texting PJHC60 £1 to 70070. And don’t forget to claim Gift Aid to increase your donation by 25%
If you think each challenge is worth a tenner, who am I to argue!?
The challenges are going to be difficult for me, hopefully fun too but THE most important factor in choosing whether to sponsor me, is the cause:
It has been estimated that more than 1 in 3 people (33%) will develop cancer at some point in their lifetime. This means that at some point in our lives, we will all be affected by someone who has cancer. Macmillan Cancer Support not only offers help to the people who have cancer but gives support to the family and friends affected by it.http://www.macmillan.org.uk/Aboutus/WhatWeDo/What_we_do.aspx
