Hello! We are Liv Barnett and Jess Jarvis and we are going to be dancing for 12 hours solid at the AUKL Danceathon on 7th December 2021. 

Why are we doing this herculean dancing endeavour you ask? Well, we want to raise money for Age UK Lambeth's Christmas Campaign 2021! 

Many of us experienced loneliness during the COVID-19 pandemic, some of us for the very first time. Unfortunately, for many older people, their experience of isolation did not end when restrictions were lifted. For the hundreds of older people in Lambeth who live alone, loneliness is an ongoing issue.

During the Christmas period, feelings of loneliness are often heightened. At a time when our TV screens and social media feeds are full of people spending time with friends and family, those who are more isolated desperately need the support of their community. And Age UK Lambeth intend to provide just that with their Christmas campaign.                 

Age UK Lambeth will be delivering a home-cooked Christmas meal alongside a handwritten Christmas card, a cracker to pull with our volunteers, and a handpicked gift, to hundreds of older people in Lambeth who otherwise would be spending Christmas Day alone.
