Major Challenge announcement; In April 2024 Alison & Chris will take on the mighty London Marathon. 

In 2023 it will be 5 years since Chris finished the Virtual World Ride for Rity and his 60th birthday.  He wants to spend the year taking on 12 crazy and demanding challenges to raise more donations to fight this deadly disease.  Bowel cancer has taken too many people far too early, including Chris’ wife Rita in 2016. This cancer is the second biggest killer worldwide yet so many ignore the symptoms and refuse to take the tests.

So let’s use 2023 to change that.  These are the challenges Chris has signed up for so far, and the amazing people who have pledged to also take part.  And why not continue the fight into 2024 to make room for some of the challenges people have suggested that we couldn't fit into 2023.

1.  A wing walk and acrobatics in a biplane in August 2023.  Alongside Alison C who came up with the idea.

2. The Cardiff Half Marathon in October 2023 again with Alison C and Deb C

3.  A total of 52 Park Runs, one a week throughout the year. With a host of awesome guest runners 

4. A sponsored 24-hour silence.  For those that know Chris, this could be is the hardest challenge to date.  

5.  A 26-mile walk around the South Wales Coast.

6. A 24-hour walk where Chris will do what it says on the tin and walk for 24 hours. Hopefully, people will join in and do their own walks as well

7. Looking to cure my lifelong fear of spiders on 11th April 2023.  Hopefully, me facing my biggest fear will encourage more people to take the bowel cancer test

8. A dip in the icy sea in February 2023

9. To get the symptoms of Bowel Cancer on the back of as many employers' toilet doors as possible in 2023

10.  Alison C & Chris will take on the world-famous London Marathon
