We’re the UK’s leading charity for Crohn’s and Colitis. Right now, over 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of. We’re working to improve diagnosis and treatment; to fund research and to raise awareness.

Story

This year (2022), I’ve decided to climb 12 Welsh mountains. To some, this may not seem like a lot, but I’m a busy working Mum with two boys under the age of 4, so just finding enough time to do this is a big challenge.

My Grandad had Crohn’s disease most of his life and still found the time and energy to climb Snowdon at the age of 80. So in memory of him and to raise money for Crohn’s and Colitis UK,  I’m finding the time and energy to conquer some of the most beautiful mountains in the world.

Starting on the 7th February, I’ll be walking up one of the smallest mountains in Wales (seems appropriate), Garth Mountain, near where I live in Cardiff. Then I’m heading to the Black Mountain on the 26th February. Hoping the weather will be kind.

Head over to my blog to keep up with my progress throughout the year here (12WelshMountains.Wordpress.com) and please donate generously to Crohn’s and Colitis UK.
