Story
In January 2021, I celebrated the ten-year anniversary of my kidney transplant, which was performed at Guy's and where I was a patient from 2003 to 2020.
October 2021 starts a 12 month fundraising and awareness campaign, I hope you'll join me on the journey.
Keep up to date by following @GallopingToGive on Instagram and Twitter.
Many thanks

On 20 May 2020, the law around organ donation in England was changed to allow more people to save more lives.
Now that the law has changed, it will be considered that you agree to become an organ donor when you die, if:
- you are over 18;
- you have not opted out;
- you are not in an excluded group.
You still have a choice whether or not you want to become an organ donor, and can register or amend your decision at any time.
Unfortunately, whilst wonderful work is taking place with approximately 3000 transplant occurring annually, around 5000 people actually need them otherwise they wait on dialysis.
Thank you for reading this and any donations to either of my fundraising pages (annoyingly JustGiving can't yet enable me to join them!) is greatly appreciated.
